WHAT IS A MEMBER?
A Credit Union is an organization that is directed and owned by the people who use there services. They are also known as Members of the Credit Union.
WHY JOIN THE CREDIT UNION?
Credit Unions are a “not-for-profit” financial institution, therefore all the profits are returned to the members in ways as:
- Higher dividends on Savings
- Lower Loan Rates
- Additional low cost Services
Our members are the reasons for which this Credit union exists. They are the owners and the heart of it all. Through their “voice” as volunteers on the Board of Directors they provide the Credit Union with leadership and direction that improves the membership as a whole.
The Board of Directors, which are elected by members at the annual meeting, set the rates and policies of the Rutgers University Student & Alumni FCU.
WHO CAN JOIN?
Rutgers University Student & Alumni FCU extends membership to all students and alumnus of Rutgers The State University and immediate family members of Rutgers The State University students.
